The number of tourist visits to Scotland from other parts of Britain has increased by 9%, a survey has suggested.

The Great Britain Tourism Survey indicates that the figure rose to about 12.9 million in the year to the end of September 2015. It also suggests that expenditure on domestic tourism visits - visitors from Britain staying for at least one night - rose by 14% to more than £3.2bn.
