Scotland in Union supporters, along with our Campaigns Manager, Andrew Skinner, have been touring Scotland’s 32 council areas promoting the positive case of Scotland in the UK.
At the weekend our dedicated volunteers were out leafleting across Scotland; Airdrie, Stirling, Glasgow, Irvine, Motherwell and Dumfries. Our team were also in Edinburgh’s Princes Street on Saturday signing people up to our campaign.
Our campaign message of ‘No More Referendums’ is one that has really resonated with the general public and it’s a message that we feel is in keeping with the majority view in Scotland.
On the ground across Scotland people are telling us that “now is not the time for this” and that “we need to focus on the day to day running of Scotland, not constitutional distractions”.
So far our campaign has been very active across Scotland since our Glasgow launch on the 25th of June.
So far we have been active in the Borders, Dumfries & Galloway, East Ayrshire, South Ayrshire, North Ayrshire, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire. We also have up and coming events in the Highlands, Moray, Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen, Shetland Island, Orkney Island and the Isle of Lewis to look forward to, and many more events thereafter.
We aim to grow our grassroots base as much as we can whilst promoting the positive case of Scotland within the UK.
