On Friday morning, the SNP will claim that every vote it received was a vote for another divisive referendum on leaving the UK.
But the polls show that barely a quarter of people in Scotland want a second referendum next year, and support for separation is falling.
The result in many seats across Scotland is on a knife-edge. If voters don’t want their ballot paper to be used by the SNP to divide communities, friends and families, then they should vote tactically for the pro-UK party which is best placed to stop the SNP.
