  • Organising and managing fundraising events and networking functions.

  • Setting up, managing and following up on meetings with donors and potential donors, to secure funding for SIU.

  • Building relationships with donors and potential donors (or decision-makers for corporate donors), and acting as an ambassador for SIU. Keeping in touch with donors, helping them to see how their donations are being spent and encouraging longer term donations and relationships.

  • Developing and coordinating online fundraising, including via social media and crowdfunding.

  • Managing the administrative aspects of fundraising, including tracking donations.

  • Writing documents and presentations to support fundraising.

  • Evaluating the success of fundraising approaches, and using these reviews to improve fundraising for SIU.
