Thursday 22 January 2026 brought our annual Burns Night to the Royal Scots Club in Edinburgh - a memorable evening of Scottish tradition and celebration.
Our speakers for the night were:
Alistair Carmichael MP
Rachel Hamilton MSP
Jackie Baillie MSP

Their speeches were thoughtful, engaging and reflected the spirit of Burns and Scotland.
A standout moment was the excellent rendition of Tam O’Shanter by Nigel Griffiths, which added a powerful and cultural highlight to the event.
The evening was enjoyed by all, with great company, conversation and celebration of tradition.
A big thank you to the staff at the Royal Scots Club for their support and service in making the event run so smoothly.
We look forward to Burns Night 2027.

I liked how this post highlighted culture and community celebrations in such a warm way. Last winter, I was preparing for exams and even looked into take my online statistics course for me options because I felt completely overwhelmed at the time. Events like Burns Night are a good reminder that people still need moments to relax, connect, and enjoy traditions together.
The Burns Night celebration sounds like such a meaningful way to bring people together and honor tradition. I remember attending a similar cultural evening during my college years, and it created a strong sense of community. Balancing coursework back then was tricky, and I once joked about finding someone to Pay Someone To Take My Online Class just to enjoy events stress free. It really shows how important these shared cultural moments are.
