Just one in eight people in Scotland believe the independence debate should be a priority right now. Scotland has been left damaged by the impact of Covid-19 and will take years to recover. Every moment of time and attention spent on debating the constitution is at the expense of our national recovery.

However you voted in 2014 and whoever you voted for this May, now is not the time to focus on another referendum. We're asking the Scottish Government to commit not to hold a referendum within the five-year period of this Parliament, because our recovery is too important to risk.
